You may be waiting for restoration to arrive wearing the exact face of what you lost. But God is not required to rebuild yesterday's arrangement in order to restore your life. The new thing may have a different shape, pace, place, or name.
Do not miss a river because you demanded the old road. Let God restore the purpose even when the form changes. What He gives now may be humbler than your memory and healthier than the life you keep trying to reproduce.
I release my demand that restoration look like yesterday. I receive the new way God is causing to spring forth.
