Resistance can describe what happened in the field without being allowed to describe you. A door may have closed. A system may have been unjust. A person may have opposed you. None of those things has received permission to rename your gift or cancel your future.
Paul said we may be pressed, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down, but not destroyed. Keep the sentence where God keeps it. You are experiencing opposition; you are not becoming its definition.
What resists me will not define me. I may be pressed, but I am not abandoned, destroyed, or disqualified.
