ScriptureMark 8:36 — Gaining the world cannot compensate for losing the soul.
An opportunity is not measured only by salary, visibility, access, or speed. Ask what kind of person you must become to keep it. Will it deepen integrity and service, or train secrecy, compromise, anxiety, and distance from God?
Some offers pay well while making the soul poor. Measure the door by its formation, not only its benefits. No gain is large enough to justify becoming someone you can no longer live truthfully with.

I measure opportunity by what it will make of me. I will not exchange my soul, integrity, or peace for visible gain.
