A beggar tries to persuade a reluctant stranger. A child approaches a Father whose heart has already been opened. Finished-work prayer begins from access, not from the suspicion that God must be made willing.
Come boldly, not arrogantly. Ask, listen, repent, and receive as one who has been brought near through Christ. You are not performing desperation to earn an audience.
I am a child, not a beggar. Through Christ I approach my Father with humility, confidence, and open access.
