Perfectionism tells you that beginning before you are flawless will expose you. But no one reaches maturity by hiding from the work that develops it. Paul openly admitted that he had not arrived, then kept pressing.
Grace does not ask you to pretend that unfinished work is finished. It gives you courage to prepare sincerely, release what is ready, receive correction, and improve. Your first attempt is not required to look like your tenth year; Christ is still maturing you.
I do not have to be perfect to begin. Christ is maturing me as I prepare, act, learn, and keep pressing forward.
