Scripture"If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me" (Matthew 16:24)
"I want to grow spiritually." "I want to know my Bible." Those are desires, not decisions. A resolution is not a decision; decision goes beyond a state of mind and does something. Jesus did not stop at desire when He called His disciples. He moved it to denial, responsibility, and obedience.
Declaration
My desire alone will not build my future. Today I move from wanting to deciding, and I take the step.
