When someone caused the loss, their action can become the meaning of the whole story: 'I was foolish. I am unwanted. No one can be trusted.' The event hurts, but the interpretation can keep reopening it.
Let God bind the wound without letting the offender name you. What they did reveals something about their choice; it does not reveal your final worth or future. Separate the fact of the loss from every false conclusion attached to it.
The one who hurt me will not define what the loss means. God is healing my heart and restoring truth to my story.
