Caleb was forty when he first believed God for the promised land. He waited forty years in the wilderness, not for his own failure, but because the people around him had not yet grown into the promise. By the time he finally stood to claim his inheritance, he was eighty-five, and he did not ask for a quiet valley to retire in. He asked for a mountain.
Delay is not denial. Whatever your age, whatever the wilderness has cost you, you are allowed to ask God for the mountain, not the leftovers.
I refuse to settle for less because I waited long. Like Caleb, I ask for the mountain, and I have the strength to take it.
