Moses ran ahead of God's timing, made a catastrophic mistake, and spent forty years hiding as a shepherd in a wilderness he never planned to enter. It looked like his assignment was over. It was not. Every year he spent tending sheep was curriculum for the very desert he would later lead two million people through.
God does not withdraw a calling because the vessel stumbled. What feels like exile may simply be preparation wearing a disguise.
My delay is not my disqualification. It is preparation. I am not forgotten. I am being prepared.
