The wall looks enormous when it becomes the starting point of every thought. God begins elsewhere: with the work He prepared, the grace He supplied, and the person He is forming.
Your problem can reveal the edge of your present capacity, but it cannot define the full measure of your assignment. Ask not only, 'How do I escape this?' Ask, 'Who must I become to carry what God has placed beyond it?'
Lift your eyes from obstruction to purpose. Let the assignment call forth discipline, healing, wisdom, and courage. You are God's workmanship; the obstacle is not the author of your life.
I begin with God's assignment, not my obstruction. I am His workmanship, and I will grow into the good work He prepared for me.
