The disciples plucked grain on the Sabbath because they were hungry, not rebellious, just hungry. That hunger gave them permission to act when the culture around them said to stay still. There is a hunger God has planted in you that is not dissatisfaction. It is His invitation, not your affliction.
Too many of us have perfected the performance of contentment we do not feel. Stop suppressing the hunger and start acknowledging what you actually long for.
I will stop performing a peace I do not feel. I acknowledge my hunger, because my hunger is God's invitation to be filled.
