David had Saul, the man hunting his life, helpless within arm's reach in a cave. His men urged him to end it. He refused, because David never let his wound become his identity. What happened to you slowly becomes who you are only if you let it. "I lost the business, so I have lost myself" is a trap.
You are not what they did to you. You are what God said you would be, and He named you long before your accusers ever showed up.
I am not what they did to me. I am what God said I would be, and I answer to that name alone.
